Breitseite is a magazine created by students of the University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm. In order to make a unique magazine we have specialised teams, who worked together to achieve our goal: A cool, informative and creative magazine with the topic distance. Dividing into teams

In order to distribute our skills and preferences appropriately, in the first meeting the respective tasks were distributed directly and each student could enrol in the team of his choice.


Define article topics

The subject of flow offers a multitude of possibilities for interpretation. That’s why the authors collected their ideas for the articles and discussed them in a way that makes the magazine versatile and interesting.


Social media strategy

In order to be able to adhere to a clear line when it comes to social media right from the start, this strategy was defined early on and then implemented by the responsible team on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.


Cover decision

The cover. One of the most important decisions was also made very early. After many students had submitted their suggestions, the plenum decided which cover idea would best fit the topic and would also be easy to implement.


Write articles

A magazine needs articles. Interesting articles. The authors therefore search for creative ideas on the subject of flow and write them. There are only a few limits to the topic and this results in a multi-layered magazine.


Acquire sponsors

We need money. Everything we produce is costly. These have to be covered by us and that is why we have the sales team. By acquiring sponsors who benefit from advertising, everyone has an advantage.


Print companies

The production team is looking for a suitable company that can print our breitseite edition. Factors such as implementation, costs, time and humanity play a major role here.


Create online presence

The final product is in printed form. However, an online presence is also indispensable here, which is why we try to advertise the magazine and distribute some background information with the website.


Implement Storytelling

We don’t just want to write articles with the magazine. We want to make articles tangible. With the help of the storytelling function, a completely new way of reading can be implemented.


Film shooting

The video team is also making a film on the subject of flow. The storyboard has to be created, scenes shot and edited.


Create photo series

Pictures say more than 1000 words. To ensure variety in the magazine, articles are not the only content. The photo team puts pictures to the topic appropriately in scene.


Design articles

Every author has a designer on the team. The finished articles must then be presented by the designers in such a way that they look attractive in the magazine.


Create imprint

So that everyone knows who worked on the magazine, an imprint is created. The team came up with a creative idea and then photographed each project member.


Presenting the results

Before the project is completed, each team presents its work so that everyone knows what is going on and can be adjusted if necessary.


Summarize to print file

The work of all is summarized, the magazine is printed and all are stretched on the product. The goal is approaching.
