The countdown is running!
We’re almost there! We’re happy to show you our first test print of the 8th version of the breitseite! It won’t be much longer and we can hold the breitseite in our hands. Stay tuned!
REDUCTION – that is the theme of the 8th version of the breitseite. But how did it come about that? In the first meeting of this year’s breitseite team the topic Reduction has been suggested by Mrs Kimpflinger. But how did she come up with that? We asked!
"Established Communications Project?"
What is actually meant by that? We asked Mrs Kimpflinger!
On our homepage, we describe our magazine as an “established communication project”. This may be a very abstract description at first sight. But what is actually meant by that?
In an interview, Mrs. Kimpflinger, who had the idea of creating the breitseite magazine, described very well why this communication project is very well-established at the HNU.
Did you know, that one of the breitseite teams, is working on a movie? This time, everything is about reduction (like the title of the 8th breitseite). In the scene that is shown on the left, there is a fast motion of how a lecture room is filling with people at a breitseite meeting, and after that, clears again. Makes a little bit curious for more, right? Stay tuned for the outcome!
At the last meeting of the whole breitseite-Team there was finally a cover voted. With a big majority the decision was made for Julia Riveroff’s cover design. On this cover, the word reduction is written in braille so it can only be expierienced by touching. With this cover, the 8th breitseite is probably the first edition without a beautiful picture on the cover but with a grey surface with white dots that make the title touchable.
Our 4 favourites for the new Breitseite cover!
Four completely differtent ideas – each one with its own creative appeal. The first version with a reduced presentation of birds, is very friendly even though its heavy reduction in color and in form. The second version deals with the current trend of leaving out vocals in words. So the outcome is a reduction in language and in the size of the letters. The third motive replaces letters as we know with braille. The word reduction is depicted in braille so one can only be expierienced by touching. Last but not least, the fourth idea deals with natural reduction within the increase and decrease of the visible part of the moon. For us, every cover idea is a great one – but soon there will be the voting for the final cover – stay curious!
